64 Ways of Being is a mixed reality, an urban play expeience. Part art, part audio tour, part game; players take to the streets of Melbourne to experience the city from a new perspective. Drawing on Indigenous knowledge and local multicultural communities, the app guides players to location specific, interactive Augmented Reality artworks: Ways of Being.

While it's not a game in the traditional sense, 64 Ways of Being was a unique and interesting project to work on. Cultural and artistic direction was often at odds with functional needs.

As the Lead Programmer on the project, I developed all major systems in the app; inluding the implementation of location services, dynamic asset management and created a set of tools allowing less technically inclined artists to easily create and iterate on Ways of Being.
